Prize-giving 22 November 2012

A big THANK YOU goes to everybody who participated in this year’s competition “Europe – what next?”.
Where is Europe heading? Is it spiralling out of control? Do we need to redefine European values? What should a young European aspire to? Imagine you were an advisor to Angela and/or David. What should they tell the next generation of Europeans?

These were some of the questions the 30 participants from across the UK tried to answer. Some took on the role of an advisor to Angela or David, others composed traditional essays, and a small number of submissions addressed the topic with artistic means including film media and a collage. The standard was, once again, very high and it was a difficult task for the jury to pick the three lucky winners.

One of the winners was Brian Shaw who wrote a letter to Angela Merkel. Click here to access the Winner Brochure and his competition entry.
