First established in 1927 and re-opened after the war in 1952, we are the oldest of 15 DAAD branch offices. Our mission is to foster academic exchange and cooperation with individuals and institutions in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The DAAD London will host an Alumni networking event in September 2022, focusing on celebrating 70 years of UK/Irish – German collaboration.

Find Funding Programmes
German universities, like most universities around the world, maintain a broad network of international partnerships. The DAAD supports such international partnerships through a number of schemes that aim to foster cooperation among higher education institutions.
Scholarship Holders
In the eyes of the DAAD, the end of a funding period marks the beginning of a long-standing relationship with us. We aim to stay in touch with our alumni as well as help you get to know one another through a serious of programmes and activities. We also support you in setting up regional DAAD alumni clubs and other forms of networking opportunities.
